this work.
an ongoing portrait practice.
I’m developing an ongoing body of portrait work centred on our presence and lived experience and how it is carried in our bodies.
The portraits explore inherited femininity, motherhood, tenderness, and quiet internal strength, not as stories to be explained, but as experiences the body remembers.
The sessions are gentle and collaborative. No modelling experience is needed, just a willingness to be present with me for something honest and unguarded.
This work is for people who don’t usually see themselves represented, or who have never really felt like the obvious subject. I’m drawn to faces and bodies shaped by lived experience, rather than what’s usually held up as our society’s beauty ideals.
